Arrowtown, Sunday, almost midnight. Still 18 degrees, a sky full of stars and a cosy cottage in the middle of the mountains. This house is so beautiful and so cosy that I could take it with me to Germany :). That’s exactly what I needed. It feels a bit like coming home. The wooden floors, high ceilings and so much bric-à-brac – just like our lovely apartment in Hamburg :). And the best surprise: Last week, the cottage got a Wifi router. Great!

So we are very happy to be here – although there are no beaches around, but beautiful lakes and mountains. The weather is just amazing (around 26 degrees). Yesterday, after breakfast, we went for a very nice walk along the river. Today, we had a look at the Chinese settlement and a nice dinner in a beer garden. Although the town is pretty small, there are over 20 restaurants and cafés, shops and even a museum. Just perfect!  

Tomorrow we will go to Queenstown and even Wanaka – depending on when we’ll manage to get up. I’ll let you know ;).
